Blossom Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Blossom Baby Blanket. This is a great beginner-friendly crochet pattern using beginner stitches. The Blossom Baby Blanket consists of a one row repeat and can be made in a variety of different colors. You can even use a self-striping yarn like I did!

The Blossom Baby Blanket is made using Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in Tranquil. However, you can use any #4 worsted weight yarn you have in your yarn stash. I also used a size I-9 crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Blossom Baby Blanket Pattern

Materials:

• 2.5 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in Tranquil (or any worsted weight yarn approx. 860 yards)
• I-9 hook
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Size:

32×32

Notes:

• If you want to change up the sizing of this blanket, you will need to work in multiples of 4+3. Likewise, you will need more yarn if you decide to make this blanket bigger.
• Each “fan” is worked on top of one another by working into the ch-1 space from the previous row.

Ch107 (or any multiple of 4+3)

Row 1: In the 5th ch from hook, work (2dc, ch1, 2dc). *Skip 3ch and in the ch after that, work (2dc, ch1, 2dc). Repeat from * across until 2ch remain. Skip 1ch and work a dc in the final ch. Ch3 and turn.

Row 2: Work (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in each ch-1 space from previous row (center of each fan). When you get to the end of your row, you will work 1dc into the top of the turning ch. Ch3 and turn.

Repeat Row 2 until desired length. Fasten off and weave in ends.
