Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Candy Cane Hot Pad. These hot pads can be made in a variety of different colors to fit any holiday season or match your home decor. They also make wonderful holiday gifts! It’s a two-row repeat, which makes it beginner-friendly and quick to make.
For the Bobble Stitch Hot Pad, I chose a 100% cotton yarn. The yarn I used is Lily Sugar ‘N Cream Cotton, which is a #4 worsted weight yarn. However, you can use any worsted weight cotton yarn you’d like.
I also used a size H-8 crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
Candy Cane Hot Pad

- 1 skein of Lily Sugar ‘N Cream Cotton yarn (400g/14oz, 645m/706yds)

- Tapestry Needle

Notes
- To change the size of your hot pad, you will make any even number of chains.
- You will make two hot pads and crochet them together to form a double thick hot pad.
- The chain 2 for the border does not count as a stitch.
- If you do not want to use the ribbed border, you can use any border you’d like.
Special Stitches
Front Post Double Crochet/Back Post Double Crochet:
A front post double crochet means you insert your hook from front to back around the post of the next DC and work a DC. A back post double crochet means you insert your hook from back to front around the post of the next DC and work a DC.
