Fleece Moss Stitch Scarf

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest crochet pattern, the Fleece Moss Stitch Scarf. This crochet textured scarf is quick to make and can be easily customized to be shorter or longer. You can use whatever color you like, even to match your winter coat. Because of the bulkiness of this scarf, it will keep you cozy warm this winter season.

For the Fleece Moss Stitch Scarf, I used Bernat Forever Fleece. However, you can use whatever super bulky weight yarn you’d like. I also used a size M/N-13 (9.0mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Materials:

  • (1) skein of Bernat Forever Fleece in Rose Hip
  • M/N-13 (9.0mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Size:

8″ W x 40″ L

Notes:

  • To change the width of this scarf, you will chain an even number of chains.
  • You will alternate between a slip stitch and a half double crochet to get the textured look.
  • Work slip stitches loosely especially the first and last one of each row to ensure your piece doesn’t cinch at the ends.

If you would like to purchase an ad-free version of this pattern, you can do so here.

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
