Lion Brand Heartland Yarn Review

Today I will be reviewing Lion Brand Heartland Yarn. This yarn is classified as a 4-worsted weight yarn. Each skein is made with 100% premium acrylic yarn, making it extra soft and plush. For the crocheters, the recommended hook size is a size J-10, and for the knitters size 9 knitting needles. This yarn is machine washable, which makes it a perfect candidate for charity items.

You can find Lion Brand Heartland Yarn in a variety of different solid colorways. All the colors come in soft tweedy shades that are inspired by American landscapes. I find that each of the colors has a little bit of sheen to it as well, which reminds me a little of Caron Simply Soft.

Lion Brand Heartland Yarn

This is one of the best yarns I have worked with as I find that it doesn’t split like some yarns do, at least for me. It also glides along my crochet hook easily without snagging. I highly recommend this yarn for the variety of beautiful colors it comes in, but also for its softness. It’s a great yarn for hats, scarves, and even blankets because of its warmth. I love the way finished products look as you can see from some of my pictures below. You can purchase this yarn at your local Walmart, local craft store, and even online.

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
