Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest crochet pattern, the Neapolitan Baby Blanket. This super soft, handmade baby blanket is made using easy stitches in a striped design. It is the perfect baby afghan for a newborn baby and would also be an excellent baby shower gift that would be treasured for years to come.

For the Neapolitan Baby Blanket, I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn. However, you can use whatever #4 worsted-weight yarn you’d like. I also used a size J-10 (6.0mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Materials:

  • (1) skein each of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in White, Glacier, Rosy Cheeks, and Graphite
  •  J-10 (6.0mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Size:

34 x 34

Notes:

  • You can change up the sizing of this blanket by making a chain multiple of 3+1. This means you will multiply any number by 3. Once satisfied, you will add 1 chain to the very end.
  • Chain 3 counts as a double crochet stitch.
  • Each color consists of 6 rows before moving onto the next color.

If you would like to purchase an ad-free version of this pattern, you can do so here.

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
