Nightberry Chevron Blanket Pattern

Today I’ll be sharing my Nightberry Chevron Blanket pattern with you. This is one of my favorite blanket designs, so I knew I had to work out the math and come up with my own chevron pattern. Check out this chevron stitch tutorial. However, this chevron blanket is made by crocheting every other row in the back loop only. Upon completion, you will notice a slight ribbing effect on the front side of the blanket. This baby blanket is made using Caron Big Cake yarn. Check out my review of this yarn here. I thought these colors would be perfect for a baby boy! People are always on the lookout for more boy items, so I’m trying to do what I can to make that happen. I hope you enjoy!

This nightberry chevron blanket measures 46×45. You can also customize this blanket to be wider or longer depending on your preference. However, you will need to purchase more yarn if you decide to make this blanket wider or longer.

For today’s tutorial, you will need worsted weight yarn (I’m using Caron Big Cake) and a size I-9 crochet hook (I’m using Clover Amour). Feel free to use a different worsted weight yarn in a solid or variegated color if you’d like. You can also change colors to achieve the look you’re going for. To learn how to change colors, please visit this tutorial. Gather up your supplies and let’s begin!

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
