Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Rainbow Dreams Baby Blanket. This is a beautiful pastel colored blanket that is perfect for the little baby in your life. The Rainbow Dreams Baby Blanket is a beginner-friendly pattern that consists of a one row repeat, which is perfect for both beginners and more experienced crocheters alike.

The Rainbow Dreams Baby Blanket is made using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in Pink, Light Peach, Buttercup, Menthe, Soft Blue, and Orchid. You can check out my review of this yarn here. However, you can use any #4 worsted weight yarn you have in your yarn stash. I also used a size J-10 crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Materials:

  • (1) skein each of I Love This Yarn in Pink, Light Peach, Buttercup, Menthe, Soft Blue, and Orchid
  • J-10 crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Size:

38 x 36

Notes:

  • You can change up the sizing of this blanket by making more or less chains depending on your preference. Likewise, you can make this blanket longer by working more rows.
  • You will be working in the back loops only (BLO) of each stitch across the row. This will result in a ribbed effect.
  • Chain 2 counts as a half double crochet stitch.
  • Each color consists of 6 rows before moving onto the next color.

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
