Rainbow Stripes Shawl

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Rainbow Stripes Shawl. I wanted to make something fun for the upcoming spring season that you can wrap around your shoulders to take the chill off. The Rainbow Stripes Shawl is a beginner-friendly pattern as it’s a one-row repeat pattern.

For the Rainbow Stripes Shawl, I used #4 worsted weight yarn in 10 different colors. I used Knit Picks Heatherly Worsted, however, you can use any yarn you’d like. I also used a size  J-10 (6.0 mm) crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Materials:

  • (1) skein each of Knit Picks Heatherly Worsted in Sweet Bing, Sweetheart, Peach Fuzz, Butter, Key Lime, Agave, Seaglass, Cabana, Atmosphere, Lilac
  • J-10 (6.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Size:

23×81

Notes:

  • To change the width of this shawl, you will need to make a chain that’s a multiple of 10 plus 2. (Example: 10×3=30 plus 2=32)
  • I changed colors every six rows.
  • I highly recommend weaving in your ends every few color changes. This will help you to not have so many ends to weave in at the very end.

If you would like to purchase an ad-free version of this pattern, you can do so here.

Hi, are you referring to the PDF pattern being cut off?

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
