Today’s yarn review is going to be on Red Heart Soft. Boy does this yarn live up to its name! I love the feeling of this yarn as it is very soft and snuggly.

This yarn is considered a #4 worsted weight yarn and is machine washable. It is also 100% acrylic, which makes it a perfect candidate for a wide selection of projects. This yarn comes in three different versions. The solid version is 5oz or 256 yards, the print version is 4oz or 204 yards, and the heather version is 4oz or 212 yards. For the crocheters out there, the recommended hook size is an I-9, while the recommended needle size for knitters is a size US 8. With 43 different colors available, there truly is a color for everyone!

Besides its softness, Red Heart Soft is also known for its beautiful drape. It has a nice thickness to it that isn’t too bulky, but it holds its shape very well. I have made two different blankets using this yarn and have had no problems with it. I love the color selection as I found the colors to be very vibrant and pretty. The color I purchased for this review is in Rose Blush, which is a dusty pink color.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend picking up Red Heart Soft yarn as it’s great for a lot of different projects. It’s super soft and the colors are amazing. If you’re looking for a baby blanket pattern, check out my Floating Squares Baby Blanket Pattern.

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
