Seaside Dishcloth

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Seaside Dishcloth. If you like to crochet on-the-go, then small, repetitive projects are the perfect pattern choice. There’s nothing quite like a crochet project that can be finished quickly. These dishcloths (or washcloths-they’re perfect for this as well) not only work up quickly, but have great texture as well!

For the Seaside Dishcloth, I used #4 worsted weight cotton yarn. I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton, however, you can use any cotton yarn you’d like. I also used a size I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton (I used Deep Teal, Aqua, and White)
  • I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Small: 7×7

Large 8×8

Notes:

  • To change the sizing of this dishcloth, you will need to make a chain in any number you’d like.
  • You will be working in the back loops only (BLO) for this project except for the first and last stitch in each row.
  • Changes for larger size are listed in ( ).
  • Depending on the size of your dishcloth, you can get 2-3 dishcloths out of one skein of yarn.

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
