What is Your Favorite Project to Make?

This is a tough one as I tend to go through phases of crocheting different projects. I latch onto one idea and crochet the same thing over and over until something else piques my interest. However, there is always one thing I tend to go back to and have the urge to make.

With that being said…

What is Your Favorite Project to Make?

My favorite project to make is blankets. I enjoy making them because I know whether I’m making it as a gift for someone or for myself, it provides warmth and love. That is a special feeling as a crocheter. I know a lot of people don’t like making blankets often because they can be quite tedious, but I find them enjoyable. Of course, I don’t need any more blankets around the house, but I still find myself gravitating towards making another one. Hey, if you love something, why stop, right?

When I really think about it, it is because there are so many different patterns, colors, and designs you can do to make up a blanket. I get lost in the sea of beautiful crocheted blankets I find online or on different TV shows. I’m often saying “crocheted blanket” every time I spot one on TV! It seems like they are popping up on a lot of TV shows lately. I’ve noticed one in particular on one of my favorite comedies, The Middle.  It’s great to see them get noticed in pop culture!

Anyway, what is your favorite project to make? Leave a comment below.

Oh the pink and gray one blanket is so pretty! 🙂 My favorite projects to crochet are probably potholders and trivets, because my mum loves them. 🙂 <3

Thank you! It’s actually a dusty purple color, but it probably shows up as gray on other monitors. I’ve made so much potholders and dishcloths in the past, I’m now looking to sell some of them.

I prefer blankets as well. I have started amigurumi and I quite enjoy it but I haven’t been able to find the safety eyes I need (I want to see them in person before I start ordering online) so I’m at a standstill with that.

I’m glad someone else enjoys making blankets as well!! For the safety eyes, Joann Fabrics has a nice selection of them (Michaels, too). However, if you want different colored eyes, I’ve only seen them online like Amazon, Ebay, and Etsy. Hope you find the eyes you need 🙂

I wanted to see the safety eyes in person because I’ve never bought any and I didn’t use the yarn size for the pattern I was following. I went to Michael’s and Joann’s and neither had the eyes in store. I still need to try Hobby Lobby.

That’s strange! Maybe everyone else in your area is making amigurumi, too, haha. Hopefully Hobby Lobby has what you’re looking for 🙂

I am the same way with crocheting things. I will make what inspires me at that time and probably make several.

I might have to get back into making amigurumi. There are so many cute patterns!

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
