Hey everyone! Today I’m going to be sharing a quick yarn haul with you. I recently picked up this yarn because I wanted to make a few last minute items for an upcoming craft fair.

Loops and Threads Impeccable

First, I picked up is Loops and Threads Impeccable yarn. This yarn is sold exclusively at Michaels stores. When I purchased this yarn, they had a sale where you bought 2 and you get the 3rd skein free. I ended up getting 9 skeins, 3 of them being free. I thought that was an amazing deal that I couldn’t pass up. With these colors, I ended up making some penguin hats as well as some snowmen hats. These hats are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop until the spring.

Big Twist Premium

Next, I went to Joann Fabrics to pick up a little more yarn. I saw someone made emoji hats, so I was interested in making some of my own. However, I couldn’t find the perfect bright yellow yarn, which is why I ended up at Joann Fabrics. The yarn I picked up with is Big Twist Premium in the color Tumeric. This was the perfect color for the emoji hats. I also picked up two skeins of white in the same brand. I didn’t really have any idea how to make the emoji faces, so I kind of made it up as I went along. However, with them being so popular, it is important to give the customers what they want.

I also picked up four more Caron Cakes in the colors Blueberry Cheesecake and Faerie Cake, two in each color. I’m not sure what I’m going to make with these yet, but I can’t wait to use them. I recently completed my first free crochet pattern using this yarn. The Bernat Softee Baby yarn is going to be part of my upcoming baby collection, which will debut at the end of January.

Overall, I’m glad I was able to pick up some of this yarn and make some new things with them. I’m also happy that I was able to get this yarn when it was on sale. I still have some of this yarn leftover, since I purchase extra just in case, so I’ll probably save it and use it to make more of the penguin and snowmen hats in the future when my stock in running low. There is nothing quite like a yarn haul! It is a great feeling!

I hope you enjoyed my yarn haul. Have you ever used these yarn brands before? What are your thoughts? Leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you!

Amanda

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by! I’m Amanda, the crochet addict behind-the-scenes. I was always interested in crafting and being creative. One day I decided to learn how to crochet. I was instantly drawn to crochet and thought it was incredible how you could make something out of yarn and a hook. I guess you can say I’ve been ‘hooked’ ever since. Feel free to email me at amandacrochets@yahoo.com with any questions.
