Today I’ll be sharing my Oatmeal Scarf pattern with you. I have a tutorial on how to make the double crochet v-stitch, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make a bulky weight scarf using this stitch. It’s one of my favorite stitches! The Oatmeal Scarf comes at a great time as the weather is changing and getting a little cooler out. With the bulkiness of this yarn, this scarf is sure to keep you nice and toasty warm. This bulky weight scarf measures 8.5”W x 58”L. You can also customize this bulky weight scarf to be wider or longer depending on your preference. However, you will need to purchase more yarn if you decide to make this scarf wider or longer.
For today’s pattern, you will need bulky weight yarn (I’m using Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick) and a size N-10mm Crochet Hook (I’m using Clover Amour). Feel free to use a variegated color or a solid color to complete this scarf. You can also change colors to achieve the look you’re going for! OATMEAL SCARF PATTERN
MATERIALS:
- N-10mm Crochet Hook
- 2 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in Oatmeal (or any other bulky weight yarn; approx. 212 yards)
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle
FINISHED SIZE:
8.5”W x 58”L

PATTERN:
Chain 16 (or any multiple of 2 plus 2 more for foundation chain)
ROW 1: 2dc in 4th chain from hook, *skip next chain, 2dc in next chain; repeat from * to last 2 chains, skip next chain, 1dc in last chain, chain 3 and turn.
ROW 2: *2dc between 2dc from previous row; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, skip 1 stitch, 1dc in turning chain, chain 3 and turn.
Repeat row 2 until scarf measures 58 inches or until desired length. Fasten off and weave in ends.
