Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn Review

Hey everyone! Today I am reviewing Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn. The color I am using is Mystical. I first saw this color when I was out at Wal-Mart, and I just had to have it! With its light blue tone and that subtle hint of sparkle, I knew I wanted to make myself something, like a warm scarf or cowl, as the cold weather is in full effect here in Chicago.

I came across this scarf by Jennifer from Fiber Flux on my search for different cowl/scarf patterns. I found it very pretty and couldn’t wait to get started on it. Once I knew the pattern I picked up the yarn and got to work. The pattern itself is easy to follow, but Jennifer also offers a video where you can follow along. I followed her pattern exactly as written and ended up with the same dimensions she had.

The yarn itself is very easy to work with. It’s classified as a #6-super bulky weight yarn. This yarn recommends a size N crochet hook as it is very thick. This yarn is 80% acrylic and 20% wool. Normally for me I can’t wear anything with wool in it as my skin becomes irritated easily. However, after wearing this scarf, I found that it’s not irritating at all. It keeps me super warm and toasty while also stylish. I absolutely love this pattern and this warm yarn.

I recommend Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn, especially if you plan on making hats and scarves, as it’ll definitely keep you warm during the cold winter months. Also, there are a lot of colors to choose from ranging from solid to variegated color options. Some even have sparkles in them, such as the color I used.
