Caron One Pound Yarn Review

Today’s yarn review will be on Caron One Pound. These giant skeins can be found at Michaels or Joann Fabrics stores.

This yarn is considered a 4-worsted weight acrylic yarn that is machine washable, which makes it a perfect candidate for a wide range of projects including charity projects. Caron One Pound is available in a variety of solid colors. Each skein is 16 oz. For the crocheters out there, the recommended hook size is a size H-8, while the recommended needle size for knitters is a size US 8.

When working with this yarn, I found that some of the colors were a little too stiff and scratchy to work with. This isn’t the softest acrylic yarn on the market, so you might want to keep that in mind when working with this yarn. I’ve heard some people compare it to Red Heart Super Saver, probably because of its stiffness. I also find it to be a little on the thicker side when it comes to worsted weight yarn. However, you do get a lot of yarn and can make a ton of different projects, but it is not one of my favorites out there.
