Vanna’s Choice Yarn Review

Hey everyone! Today’s yarn review is going to be on Vanna’s Choice. This yarn is part of the Lion Brand collection. Growing up, we always had Wheel of Fortune on, so it was interesting to learn that Vanna White crochets and has her own yarn line. I know this yarn has been out for quite some time, but I’ve never really tried it out until now.

Vanna’s Choice is considered a #4 worsted weight yarn. Each solid skein is 3.5oz or 170 yards. For the crocheters out there, the recommended hook size is a size J-10. For the knitters, the recommended needle size is a size US-9. This yarn is 100% acrylic and is machine washable.

What’s great about Vanna’s Choice yarn is that it’s soft and makes for easy crocheting. I didn’t have any problems with it and found that it worked up nicely. I’ve been crocheting like a mad woman making a bunch of these coffee cup key chains by Sarah of Repeat Crafter Me for an upcoming craft fair. I think they turned out adorable!

Overall, I would recommend Vanna’s Choice yarn. It’s inexpensive, especially if there’s a sale. The quality of this yarn is top-notch as it’s not one of those scratchy acrylic yarns like some brands can be. Also, a portion of each sale of this yarn goes to St. Jude Research Hospital. As of right now, over $1.7 million has been donated to St. Jude. That’s amazing!
